How fast can a portable toilet reach my part of Riverside County?
A portable toilet can reach most of the Pass the same afternoon when you call before 12:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. West county orders usually land the next business day. Coachella Valley and remote canyon sites ride scheduled route days, so book those 2–3 days ahead. Drivers text about 30 minutes before arriving.
- Pass routeBeaumont, Cherry Valley, Calimesa and Banning get the shortest runs. Before-noon calls usually ride that same afternoon's truck.
- West county routeMoreno Valley, Riverside, Perris, Menifee and the Corona/Eastvale side. Ask for a morning slot when your crew starts early.
- Southwest routeLake Elsinore, Murrieta and Temecula. Weekend event units go out Friday, or Thursday if Friday is full.
- Desert route daysPalm Springs to Coachella, plus canyon and ranch sites past Cabazon and Whitewater. We group these by day, so call 2–3 days ahead.
Same-day depends on trucks and units left that day, and any rush fee shows on the quote before you pay. Read how same-day porta potty delivery works for the full cutoff rules.
What do Riverside County health rules say about restrooms at food events?
Riverside County Environmental Health asks that restrooms be available within 200 feet of each temporary food booth. Its operator guide says those restrooms need running water, liquid soap and paper towels. State law under Health and Safety Code §114315 sets the same 200-foot travel distance. Booth handwash sinks are a separate requirement.
Porta potties alone have hand sanitizer, not running water. So at a food event we pair each restroom cluster with a handwash station or a flushable unit with a sink and keep the walk under 200 feet. Nonprofit food booths have their own count: at least 1 toilet per 15 food workers within 200 feet (HSC §114332.2).
| Event detail | What we set | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Food booths | Restrooms within 200 ft of every booth | County guide and HSC §114315 |
| Restroom handwashing | 1 handwash station per 4 toilets, at least 1 | Restrooms need running water, soap and towels |
| Booth sink | Vendor's own sink inside the booth | Not shared with restrooms or other booths |
| Public crowd | At least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit per cluster, 5% overall | 2010 ADA §213.2 and CBC 11B-213.2 |
Rules change and inspectors read them on site. Confirm the layout with Environmental Health or your event organizer. Our Riverside County event restroom rules guide walks through the details.

Who hauls the waste from a porta potty in Riverside County?
Riverside County requires chemical toilet and septage haulers to register under County Ordinance 712. Beaumont Porta Potty services every unit with its own county-registered liquid-waste trucks and takes the waste to approved disposal. Nothing is dumped on your property. About 16% of callers asked if we were local or a broker.
That question matters here. A call-center broker can take your order and hand it to any hauler. When we pump a unit, it is our truck, our driver and our registration. The county posts hauler rules on its Department of Waste Resources sewage page.
Does Riverside County weather change how a porta potty is set up?
Weather changes setup in 3 ways across Riverside County. San Gorgonio Pass gusts reach 50–60 mph, so we stake units on exposed sites. Beaumont averages 96.3°F in July and the desert runs hotter, so busy crews add service. Winter nights near 2,600 feet freeze, so tanks get a non-toxic brine.
Pass wind
Banning, Cabazon and open Beaumont tracts take the strongest gusts. Units get staked with the door turned away from the west wind.

Palm Springs to Coachella crews drink more and use units more. A second weekly service keeps them usable.

Cold weeks get brine in the waste tank. Sink water is checked at each service so pumps keep working.
Read moreDo I need a permit for a porta potty in Riverside County?
Most private parties and job sites in Riverside County need no permit for the porta potty itself. Only 6 of 334 callers asked about permits. Public events are different: the City of Beaumont requires a special event permit to close a road or use more than 50% of a city park, applied for at least 4 weeks ahead.
Beaumont's event permit application even asks whether you will have portable toilets. Other cities and unincorporated areas have their own forms. Confirm with your permit office or venue, then send us the unit count they want.
